I became interested in town planning as I wanted to improve the built environment and help create a better society. After a decade in the public sector, I moved to Cundall to lead its planning team, help clients solve real-world planning challenges and secure approvals for great projects. What started as a small team in Newcastle serving regional projects, now works on projects in multiple countries and development sectors. I am a Chartered Town Planner, Regional Chair of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a strong advocate of the professional development of our team.

Engineering excellence

Excellence has been a key part of the service our planning and EIA team focuses on – over recent years, we have been broadening our skills set and making sure we adapt to meet demands of the market. This has included assessment of health, heritage, waste management and construction impacts.

Planning is all about collaboration to solve challenges and make development happen. As part of this, I work closely with the experts across our teams to provide well-rounded, informed advice to clients and offer solutions, not problems.
