ENOC Pavilion is highly commended at The MEP Awards 2021

MENA 03 October 2021

Cundall is proud to announce that the ENOC Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 has been highly commended in the Sustainability Project of the Year category at The MEP Middle East Awards 2021.

Celebrating its 15th year in 2021, The MEP Middle East Awards are an opportunity to highlight the excellence in MEP (building services) design and installation underpinning those iconic projects contributing to the evolving and rapidly maturing construction landscape in the UAE.

The Sustainable Project of the Year showcases a GCC project that has been designed with sustainability criteria at the forefront. The key criteria that projects are assessed on include innovative technologies that have been deployed to create a sustainable environment as well as elements of design or installation which maximise energy efficiency.

We provided full multi-disciplinary engineering and specialist technical services on the Dubai Expo 2020 project for ENOC Group, the official Integrated Energy Patron of Expo 2020 Dubai. The site, which is designed to resemble oil storage tanks, includes seven individual structures covering a 2,050 sqm plot area. Sustainability was at the heart of the brief and design of the pavilion which is themed reimagining energy.

Richard Stratton, Managing Partner, commented, "It is wonderful to work with a progressive organisation in ENOC - embracing the changing world of energy. I believe that the ENOC Pavilion expresses this in both experience and design. It's completely reusable in every way."
