The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress to Engineer level and to join our Birmingham office and to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the UK and internationally.
Working across a variety of sectors including Education, Government, Critical Systems, Healthcare, Rail, Workplace and Residential, you will work in a team of expert engineers and technicians, and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects for high profile public and private clients.
You will assist in developing new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.
The Birmingham office is a large and vibrant office located in the heart of Birmingham and close to transport, shops and other amenities. We have a fantastic team ethic, work ethos, and social culture which really does make us a great place to work. Our office facilities themselves are award winning; we have designed and overseen all of our office fit outs, designing for efficiency, performance and aesthetic, and have achieved WELL Gold in 2020
The Skills
Educated to degree level in Building Services Engineering and having gained some experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within a building services context (Ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems etc), you have built a portfolio of experience demonstrating your familiarity with high quality engineering solutions and a client-focussed approach.
In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to support the design of multiple projects to deliver to and exceed client expectations. You possess sound knowledge of Revit, and have proven experience for creative, sustainable, and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential. You will have the opportunity to assist with the coaching and mentoring of existing mechanical graduates in the team and will have good interpersonal and people skills.
