Plot A3 is a speculative, 12-storey office development on the English Cities Fund’s (ECF) New Bailey, Salford Central scheme. ECF has a vision for the project to be as sustainable, energy and carbon efficient as possible, increasing biodiversity and creating a positive impact on society. The scheme is targeting net zero carbon in operation and has been designed in line with the UKGBC Net Zero Carbon Framework Definition. The building will be one of the first in the UK to have its operational performance verified using the NABERS UK scheme, targeting a 5.5 star rating and is also set to be BREEAM Outstanding and WiredScore Platinum.

Embracing the WELL Building Standard principles, we developed a holistic sustainability strategy to deliver a building that is net zero carbon in operation and designed to enhance occupancy health, wellbeing and productivity. The design includes a living façade that will remove air pollutants, reduce urban temperatures and improve biodiversity, while providing biophilic health and wellbeing benefits to the users.
