Tarek Ahmed

My long-standing fascination with both the ingenuity of historic buildings and the innovation of contemporary ones led me to pursue a BEng in Architectural Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. After graduating, I joined Cundall, supporting diverse projects in achieving sustainability goals and green building certifications. Eventually, I developed a strong interest in building performance simulation, using it to test and refine strategies and to translate design intent into meaningful sustainability outcomes. 

Sustainability is inherently collaborative, emerging from the interaction and synergy of several interconnected systems and disciplines. That is why we prioritise close collaboration both within our global team at Cundall and across the wider project network to ensure that our targets are achieved effectively and with a shared purpose. 

Addressing urgent global challenges such as climate change requires continually raising the bar across engineering and the built environment. At Cundall, we actively lead this shift by holding ourselves to the highest standards while also empowering others across the industry to do the same.
