Kim Gault appointed as a Fitwel Ambassador

UK and Europe 02 February 2026

Kim Gault has been appointed as a Fitwel Ambassador, recognising her commitment to promoting healthier, more inclusive, and people centred buildings and communities.

Fitwel is a globally recognised certification system developed by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and operated by the Center for Active Design. The ambassador programme brings together industry professionals who advocate for evidence-based design strategies that support physical health, mental wellbeing, and social equity.

As a Fitwel Ambassador, Kim will support the adoption of Fitwel principles across the built environment, working with clients, colleagues, and collaborators to embed health and wellbeing into workplace, residential, and mixed-use development projects.

Commenting on her new certification, Kim said, “For me, this isn’t just another badge. It’s a way of expanding the sustainability conversation beyond carbon, circularity, and material choices, and into the health, wellbeing, and everyday experience of the people who use the spaces we design. A building can be low‑impact on paper and still fall short for the people inside it. And if we’re serious about creating truly sustainable places, we need to care about both. I’m looking forward to weaving more health-centred thinking into my work and helping projects deliver environments that support people as well as the planet.”

Congratulations Kim on your new appointment!
