Parkline Place towers above Gadigal Station, giving tenants easy access to Sydney’s new underground transport system.
We are delighted to celebrate several projects we have supported that have been recognised at leading industry awards programs, including the Australian Institute of Architects Awards, The Urban Developer Awards and the Master Builder Association Awards.
Among the recognised projects was Parkline Place, developed by Investa and designed by Foster + Partners and Cox Architecture, which received both Excellence in Design Innovation and Development of the Year – Commercial at The Urban Developer Awards. The project has been recognised as a benchmark for integrated, sustainable workplace design and successful public-private collaboration.
At the NSW Architecture Awards, Waterloo Metro Quarter – Social Housing was honoured with the Award for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing. Forming part of the wider Metro Quarter transformation, the project delivers 70 modern apartments directly above the new Waterloo Metro Station.
The development provides high-quality social housing and communal amenities, including a rooftop terrace with expansive views of the CBD and inner west.
In Victoria, New Footscray Hospital, one of Victoria's largest health infrastructure projects, was recognised for both Public Architecture and Urban Design. Cundall’s team exciting led the projects Green Star and WELL certifications – the first hospital in Australia to be seeking a WELL Gold rating.
Recognition also extended to projects creating lasting social and educational benefits. Common Ground East Perth received a commendation for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing, while St Francis Xavier College Berwick GPFLA and Caulfield Grammar School's Senior School Teaching and Learning Building were both recognised for excellence in educational and sustainable design.
Kaalak, also known as East Perth Common Ground, delivers permanent, supportive housing for adults who are experiencing ongoing homelessness, rough sleeping and/or are earning a low income.
In Queensland, 205 North Quay was awarded the Beatrice Hutton Award for Commercial Architecture and the Master Builders Association Queensland’s Commercial / Industrial Building over $50 million award. Meanwhile, the Surf Life Saving Queensland Headquarters project at Mermaid Beach and Toyota Crestmead also picked up awards at the Master Builders Association Queensland.
