Kavita Kumari, Associate Director of Sustainability, London, Daniele Albanese, Head of Acoustics APAC, and Hannah Wong, Principal Engineer in Hong Kong, have all been selected for the 2026 WELL Concept Advisory Board.
The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Advisory Board is led by industry practitioners and IWBI’s in-house experts to evolve the WELL Building Standards across sectors, enhancing people’s experiences in the built environment and supporting healthier environments, globally.
Kavita has been appointed to the WELL Community Concept Advisory Board and the WELL Sustainable Finance Advisory. Both boards work to improve the WELL Building Standards with a focus on enhancing health and wellbeing outcomes within communities. Part of the first global cohort of Accredited Professionals (AP) trained in the WELL Building Standard, Kavita is a former recipient of the WELL Faculty Award (2019), and both the 2020 and 2021 WELL Community Awards. When asked about her double appointments, Kavita said:
“My appointments to both the WELL Sustainable Finance and the WELL Community Concept Advisories, present an important opportunity to help shape how health, sustainability and capital markets intersect at a global scale. Throughout my career, I have worked at the interface of building performance, ESG strategy and delivery. With a growing need to align financial decision-making with measurable health and wellbeing outcomes, I look forward to contributing to these groups - bringing a combination of strategic insight, technical rigour, and industry experience, to ensure WELL continues to evolve as a framework that is both ambitious and actionable.”
Daniele has been appointed to the Sound Concept Advisory. The group focuses on improving acoustical comfort, reducing noise pollution, and creating healthier indoor environments through optimising soundscapes. Commenting on his appointment, Daniele said:
“The opportunity to join the WELL Sound Concept Advisory is a privilege. Having worked on projects which are focused on the very thing the board is targeting to resolve, I am looking forward to bringing my onsite experience and learned technical solutions to the group, to continue creating healthy soundscapes and driving sustainability.”
Hannah has been appointed to the Air Concept Advisory. The group focuses on developing WELL guidelines that incorporate building interventions into building design, promoting air quality and flow, to support the wellbeing of communities.
“Being invited to join the WELL IWBI Advisory Board is a huge honour. My work across Asia has shown me how impactful WELL can be - not only in elevating building performance, but in genuinely improving people’s daily experiences. I’m excited to contribute my on‑the‑ground project insights to help advance WELL’s mission, shape practical guidance for the industry, and continue driving healthier, more human‑centred places across Asia,” said Hannah.
Congratulations to Kavita, Daniele, and Hannah on your new appointments!
