Green Building Forum Brisbane 2026

Brisbane Airport is setting a benchmark for sustainable industrial development, with five 5 Star Green Star certified buildings delivered across its Airport Industrial Park and Export Park precincts in the past year, and a further three projects targeting certification.

In this session, Dr David Sparks, Principal Sustainability Consultant at Cundall, joins Ben Casey, Sustainability Lead at Brisbane Airport Corporation, to explore the opportunities, challenges and lessons learned from delivering Green Star at scale. Together, they will discuss how design decisions and sector-specific Green Star credits have supported outcomes in embodied carbon, energy efficiency, water management, occupant wellbeing and long-term resilience across one of Australia's largest airport property portfolios.
