Organised by ASHRAE’s Task Force for Building Decarbonisation (TFBD) and the ASHRAE Hellenic Chapter, the first International Building Decarbonization 2022 Conference will be held in Athens, Greece on 5-7 October. Chris Leung, Associate, will be presenting his conference paper on net zero carbon skyscraper design on the second day of the conference.
The Conference will present the state-of-the-art concepts in building design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance as well as emerging new technologies and materials. The primary goal of the conference is to bridge North American and European collaboration in decarbonisation efforts.
During this conference, Chris, MK Leung from Ronald Lu & Partners, and Jochen Lam from Transsolar will be presenting the design of the net zero carbon skyscraper, Treehouse. They will explain the design process of this high-rise building in detail, as well as the climate considerations for designing net zero carbon buildings in Asia, a region with challenging environmental conditions.
