Sustainability

At Cundall, we are recognised as a global leader in sustainability. Yet, we know there is much more that we can and need to do. Business as usual is not enough.

As a global business, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal; by 2030 every project will meet our zero carbon design criteria aligned with science-based targets.

Our focus on sustainability is applied to every part of Cundall; industry leadership, our projects, our workplace and our homes and communities.

The environmental and social impacts apply across the four key areas of influence of our business - our sustainability cornerstones.

Sustainability has always been important to us. It was one of the key reasons when we were set up right from the start with Geoffrey Cundall. He had a great interest and saw there were better ways of doing things.

We developed a sustainability roadmap to identify how we can make the biggest positive impact on both our projects and our world. We called these our six impacts. They are underpinned by the One Planet Living Principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goal framework.

Following a detailed materiality review of our business in 2017 we have identified six impacts as being of most significance to our business and have established priority objectives for these.

Cundall is taking a double pronged approach. We haven’t just jumped on a bandwagon. Sustainability has always been on our roadmap even from our earliest days. It is a big part of what Cundall is about and will be even more going forward.
