Cobalt Data Centres 2 & 3

Newcastle, United Kingdom

  • Cobalt DC2 and DC3 are the first data centres in the UK to achieve a BREEAM 'Outstanding' rating and are developed in line with the end building uses. The buildings complement the first data centre that was completed in August 2010. The Cobalt Data Centre Campus offers over 10,000m2 of data hall space, making it one of the largest carrier neutral wholesale co-location campuses in the North.

Cobalt Park

North Tyneside, United Kingdom

  • Cobalt Park is the largest office park in the UK. It has more than 1.5 million sq ft of office space. The park has attracted big names in the business world, so far bringing around 9,500 jobs to the area. The project is still ongoing and a further 1 million sq ft is planned for the future.

Dealul Lomb

Cluj, Romania

  • This significant urban development on a 265-hectare site includes 10,000 residential units plus industrial, healthcare, education, retail and office buildings. Cundall was commissioned to review and develop the masterplan in order to safeguard future opportunities for embedding sustainability within the scheme, and to future-proof the scheme against changes in legislation.

Ealing BSF

  • Cundall was appointed to provide full engineering design services for two sample schools at Dormers Wells and Cardinal Wiseman in the London Borough of Ealing as part of the original £350 million BSF programme.

Energy Coast UTC, Lillyhall

  • Cundall has been appointed by Eric Wright Construction to deliver full engineering design services for the £5m Energy Coast University Technical College in Workington, Cumbria.

Grey Towers Village

  • Grey Towers is a high quality residential development located at Nunthorpe involving the construction of 295 3-6 bed homes within a 42.5 hectare site with construction phased over a 4-5 year period. The plot sizes and public open space are designed to create a village centre and the dwellings will be designed to define and enclose attractive streets and lanes.

Hartford Hall Estate

Northumberland, United Kingdom

  • Hartford Hall is a Grade II listed building. In 1998, the new owners wanted to renovate the Hall and outbuildings and convert them back to residential use, initially with the addition of 47 new-build properties. This concept is called 'enabling development'; it effectively overrides certain restrictive planning policies and allows the restoration exercise to be subsidised by the new development.

intu Eldon Square Redevelopment

  • Cundall was appointed on a multi-disciplinary basis for the redevelopment of intu Eldon Square shopping centre. This redevelopment ensures this vision is upheld by creating a vibrant retail focal point for the 25 million shoppers it attracts.

Palatine Centre, Durham University

  • This major redevelopment of Durham University is a new flagship sustainable building providing a gateway to the University’s Stockton Road Campus. It provides the University with a state-of-the-art student services facility, new accommodation to the Law School, a catering facility, and a 2,500m2 extension to the Main Library Building.

Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School

West Lothian, United Kingdom

  • Pumpherston & Uphall Station Community Primary School is a primary school with community facilities that is located within a wider development area. It replaced two existing schools within the catchment area and is the first of its kind to be funded by the Scottish Futures Trust. Due to its renewable features and sustainable design the new Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community School has achieved an impressive EPC rating of B+.
