Hartford Hall Estate

Northumberland, United Kingdom

  • Hartford Hall is a Grade II listed building. In 1998, the new owners wanted to renovate the Hall and outbuildings and convert them back to residential use, initially with the addition of 47 new-build properties. This concept is called 'enabling development'; it effectively overrides certain restrictive planning policies and allows the restoration exercise to be subsidised by the new development.

HASSELL Shanghai Studio

Shanghai, China

  • The 2,300m2 studio breathes new life into a former light industrial warehouse. It integrates innovative and sustainable workplace design to create an energetic and creative new space accommodating a team of 150 with room to grow. A team of project managers and designers were formed to undertake this fit-out project for HASSELL’s new studio in Shanghai. Cundall was appointed as the building services (MEP), sustainability and LEED consultant for this project.

Hayes Data Centre

London, United Kingdom

  • This is a new 4,000m2 data facility to form a high-resilience and high-capacity centre for the client's global ICT & AV infrastructure. Cundall was brought in at the outset to assist the bank in developing the brief, and then in selecting the site.

Heworth Leisure Centre

Gateshead, United Kingdom

  • Part of Gateshead Council’s Building an Active Future Programme, this new build leisure centre has been constructed adjacent to an existing school and provides both school and community use.  The new complex boasts a Flowrider, the North East's first indoor surfing facility and only the third currently in the UK.

High Street Birmingham

Birmingham, United Kingdom

  • This tired 1960’s city centre retail complex has been transformed into an exciting multi-use building, providing retail, banking and gym facilities within a revitalised building envelope.

Hong Kong Science Park, Phase 3

Hong Kong, China

  • Cundall was appointed as the BEAM, LEED and sustainability consultant for Phase 3, aiming to achieve one of Hong Kong’s first LEED v2009 Platinum rating and a HK BEAM Plus Platinum rating. The 'Back to Basic' design approach was adopted, incorporating cost effective and functional green building design concepts, stepping away from services overprovision using passive devices and avoiding over-complicated systems.

Houghton-le-Spring Primary Care Centre

Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom

  • This new-build primary care centre is a combination of health and social care facilities linked to an existing sports and leisure facility. SOTW’s aspiration was for this project to become an exemplary site for low carbon construction technologies. Houghton Primary Care Centre was the first healthcare project to achieve a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating.

Hulton Square and Radclyffe District School

Manchester, United Kingdom

  • The Hulton Square development comprises a compact layout of 250 apartments in Greater Manchester, including the associated services, highways and a park.

iCity

London, United Kingdom

  • Cundall is currently employed to provide MEP design and consulting services to the prestigious iCity development. iCity is a new digital quarter for London that will support the growth of the flourishing digital and creative industries.

Insurance Australia Limited

  • Cundall was the ESD consultant for two large fit-out projects for Insurance Australia Limited both achieving Green Star ratings.
