Abbey Stadium Leisure Centre

Redditch, Worcestershire, United Kingdom

  • The complex more than doubled in size, and it was transformed through refurbishment into a state of the art fitness centre, attracting a substantial increase in visitors. A pool and changing village were added to the existing building, which dated back to the 1950’s.

BAE Systems Manufacturing Facility

Newcastle, United Kingdom

  • The new 30,000m2 manufacturing facility for BAE Systems sees the replacement of the existing First World War facility to provide employees with a modern, safer, highly automated, energy-efficient and flexible place of work.

Bede Academy

Northumberland, United Kingdom

  • Bede Academy provides nursery, primary and secondary provision across two sites in Blyth on the Northumberland coast. The new layout is over three storeys in order to minimise take up of valuable site area on this restricted site.

Cardinal Hume Catholic School

Gateshead, United Kingdom

  • This modern school provides an enjoyable teaching and learning environment for up to 1,200 pupils. It is located on one of Gateshead's central streets. It is a 2-storey high building, save for the 6-storey arts tower. A dedicated and purpose-built 6th form centre was also built, consisting of study areas, ICT facilities and indoor/outdoor social spaces.

Cleadon Park

South Tyneside, United Kingdom

  • The Cleadon Park development consists of a new building to house a combined doctor’s surgery with minor operations facilities, as well as a library and a community facility. The building was designed to be predominantly naturally ventilated and achieved a NEAT ‘Excellent’ rating.

Cobalt Business Park

North Tyneside, United Kingdom

  • Cobalt Business Park is the largest office park in the UK. It has more than 1.5 million sq ft of office space. The park has attracted big names in the business world, so far bringing around 9,500 jobs to the area. The project is still ongoing and a further 1 million sq ft is planned for the future.

Cobalt Data Centre 1

Newcastle, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was commissioned to design a new data centre in Cobalt Business Park. The data centre was constructed on a speculative basis, with the shell completed in August 2010. The building accommodates four tailored data halls, each with a power density of 1400W/m2.

Cobalt Data Centres 2 & 3

Newcastle, United Kingdom

  • Cobalt DC2 and DC3 are the first data centres in the UK to achieve a BREEAM 'Outstanding' rating and are developed in line with the end building uses. The buildings complement the first data centre that was completed in August 2010. The Cobalt Data Centre Campus offers over 10,000m2 of data hall space, making it one of the largest carrier neutral wholesale co-location campuses in the North.

Dealul Lomb

Cluj, Romania

  • This significant urban development on a 265-hectare site includes 10,000 residential units plus industrial, healthcare, education, retail and office buildings. Cundall was commissioned to review and develop the masterplan in order to safeguard future opportunities for embedding sustainability within the scheme, and to future-proof the scheme against changes in legislation.

Ealing BSF

Ealing, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was appointed to provide full engineering design services for two sample schools at Dormers Wells and Cardinal Wiseman in the London Borough of Ealing as part of the original £350 million BSF programme.
