Cobalt Business Park

North Tyneside, United Kingdom

  • Cobalt Business Park is the largest office park in the UK. It has more than 1.5 million sq ft of office space. The park has attracted big names in the business world, so far bringing around 9,500 jobs to the area. The project is still ongoing and a further 1 million sq ft is planned for the future.

Dealul Lomb

Cluj, Romania

  • This significant urban development on a 265-hectare site includes 10,000 residential units plus industrial, healthcare, education, retail and office buildings. Cundall was commissioned to review and develop the masterplan in order to safeguard future opportunities for embedding sustainability within the scheme, and to future-proof the scheme against changes in legislation.

Decentralisation of District Heating System, Durham University

County Durham, United Kingdom

  • This project was carried out on a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where most of the buildings are listed and where new archaeological discoveries can be anticipated. Cundall undertook a feasibility study to determine the best way of establishing a new boiler plant to serve the buildings around The Palace Green.

Euneva Avenue Community Health Facility

Glen Waverley, Victoria, Australia

  • This unusual project provides a community health centre for the local residents and car park provisions for the Glen Waverley central business district.  The ground floor community healthcare centre has been designed with flexibility and comfort in mind.  It has an emphasis on individual control with openable windows, simple but effective servicing and user controlled, ‘manual on, auto-off’ servicing.  

Green Wall, Two Snowhill

Birmingham, United Kingdom

  • The Green Wall at Two Snowhill is Europe’s largest ‘living’ wall,  stretching 220m x 7m and includes a total of 604 square metres of plants. It is a striking piece of illuminated living architecture. The wall hides the multi-storey car park and provides a back drop for the f uture tram network.

Pennywell Estate

Sunderland, United Kingdom

  • The £60 million investment into one of the UK’s largest post-war social housing schemes will allow the regeneration of the Pennywell estate in Sunderland. The development is to be completed in a number of phases to provide more than 600 new homes of more than 20 different property sizes and types.

Quench Tower

Port Talbot, Wales, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was appointed by Tata to prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, a bill of quantities, contract documentations and contract negotiations for a major environmental improvement to the Morfa Coke Works at the Port Talbot Steelworks.

Riverside Housing Development

Gateshead, United Kingdom

  • The Stella South residential development, now known as Riverside, is a 14Ha housing development. Upon completion, the development will provide 522 residential units as well as considerable areas of public open space and a riverside walkway. Homes that range from 2-bedroom apartments to 5-bedroom detached properties, giving variety to the completed development.

Riverside Park

Sunderland, United Kingdom

  • Riverside Park is the redevelopment of a 37-hectare brownfield site on the south bank of the River Wear. The scheme is set to provide 1,200 residential units, a 10,000m² retail centre, a hospice and a junior school, with associated infrastructure including a riverside walk and extensive parkland.

Sage Headquarters

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

  • Cundall provided a comprehensive multi-disciplinary service for the design of the new world headquarters for Sage Software, located in Newcastle Great Park. The project included building services engineering, structural engineering and civil engineering, as well as providing advice on traffic, decorative lighting and transportation.
