240 Regent Street was transformed into a stunning mixed-use development in the heart of London’s West End. The building combines quality retail, office and restaurant spaces. It is now a vibrant landmark.

The complex more than doubled in size, and it was transformed through refurbishment into a state of the art fitness centre, attracting a substantial increase in visitors. A pool and changing village were added to the existing building, which dated back to the 1950’s.

The centre began as two separate projects, a leisure centre and a primary care centre (PCC) that involved two clients, two architects with Cundall being the common denominator providing multidisciplinary services for both. Through collaboration with all parties involved these two building combine to deliver excellent healthcare and leisure facilities to the local community.

A new golf clubhouse within the historic landscape grounds of Close House, a 17th Century Grade II listed manor house.  The contemporary clubhouse provides members and visitors with facilities including a pro-shop, ladies and gentleman’s locker rooms, a member’s club storage room, a bar/restaurant and a private function room for up to 150 people.

Cundall was appointed by Swire Properties to supply the sustainability design for this 300,000m² mixed use development, consisting of a retail mall, two office towers and three hotels. A high performance façade design was proposed, with an integrated central plant utilising waste heat recovery. A site-wide water collection and recycling strategy is also being developed to significantly exceed LEED requirements.

The development is targeting an LEED 'Gold' rating.
