55 St Andrews Place

Melbourne, Australia

  • Cundall acted as principal consultant, design manager, building services engineer and ESD consultant for this 6,000m2 building upgrade and building services engineer and ESD consultant for the integrated fit-out of the existing building for the Victorian Government. The fit-out achieved a '4 Star' Green Star rating.

SA Water House

Adelaide, Australia

  • South Australia (SA) Water House became the largest building in Australia to achieve a 6 Star Green Star Office Design rating, representing world leadership. It includes an underfloor air cooling/heating system, a large glass veil to the west façade and trigeneration.

Sage Headquarters

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

  • Cundall provided a comprehensive multi-disciplinary service for the design of the new world headquarters for Sage Software, located in Newcastle Great Park. The project included building services engineering, structural engineering and civil engineering, as well as providing advice on traffic, decorative lighting and transportation.

Santa Monica Beach Resort

Boa Vista Island, Cape Verde

  • The project is a 5-star resort that includes a hotel, villas and apartments within a 50-hectare landscaped estate located on the beach front on Boa Vista Island, Cape Verde. There will be over 300 villas and apartments, with restaurants, bars, beachfront sports facilities and a championship-standard tennis academy. All will be designed to high sustainability standards.

Shenley Academy

Birmingham, United Kingdom

  • Shenley Academy is a new 9,500m² school building located on the site of an existing school in the outskirts of Birmingham. The old school comprised of older 1950’s and 60’s accommodation that is in poor condition.

Shoreditch House Hotel

London, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was appointed to work with Archer Architects on the development of a 26 bedroom 4-star boutique hotel.

Slingfield Mill Conversion

Kidderminster, United Kingdom

  • Renowned as a centre for carpet manufacturing, this site was rejuvenated with the conversion of the former weaving mill into a new department store and hotel. Cundall was appointed to provide building services, structural and civil engineering for the conversion of the listed building into a Debenhams department store and a hotel.

South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI)

Adelaide, Australia

  • Cundall is providing sustainable design solutions for the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) project, which will deliver an internationally renowned research facility within Adelaide’s Riverfront precinct. This flagship research facility is expected to house the SAHMRI headquarters and is being built alongside the New Royal Adelaide Hospital (NRAH).

South Tyneside and Gateshead (STaG) BSF Programme

South Tyneside and Gateshead, United Kingdom

  • A Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project for South Tyneside Council and Gateshead Borough Council to replace/upgrade the existing schools in the area. All projects have been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ and above, incorporating a number of sustainable features, including: rain water harvesting, biomass boilers, maximization of natural ventilation and maximization of daylight penetration.

St Leonard's College

Victoria, Australia

  • The Sustainability Centre, designed for St Leonard's College, is an exemplary building that showcases a diverse range of passive systems, renewable energy technologies and flexible teaching spaces. The building reflects a ‘whole of school’ approach to sustainability, which in itself is a teaching aid and an integrated component of the college’s environmental sustainability curriculum.
