I am a Chartered Engineer and have a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College. I joined Cundall in 2007 and have over 20 years’ experience in building services consultancy. My strengths lie in multi-disciplinary design, team-working and getting the job done.
When I left my previous employer, I selected Cundall because it was a private company, owned and run by engineers. It is a good size; large enough to carry out major projects but small enough to be able to pick up the phone to talk directly to the managing partner.
It is the variety of projects that maintains the enthusiasm. Sometimes it's full time on a single job; frequently you're juggling your efforts across several projects, all with different demands, either technical, commercial, managerial or cultural. The latter is especially true when it comes to working internationally.
I have recently relocated to Hong Kong to lead the growing building services team there. Cundall is aiming to significantly increase its international business and this was a natural career progression for me, using skills I gained in previous extensive project work in Russia, China and in Hong Kong.
