Richard established Cundall's Dubai office in early 2007 and has overall responsibility for its management and development in the region. A mechanical engineer by training, Richard joined the practice in 1994 from a consultancy background where he had worked on a number of high-profile projects, including Canary Wharf Tower and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
Prior to relocating to Dubai, Richard was responsible for the operational management of Cundall’s healthcare group, which he helped establish in 2001 and developed into a significant proportion of the practice turnover. With his broad experience, covering most sectors including project management and contract administration, Richard has a determined focus on quality and delivery.
Richard has a particular interest in both integrated and sustainable design solutions and construction efficiency through standardisation and prefabrication.
Richard is married with two children and has a keen interest in most sports, particularly rugby and golf.
