Gordon is a specialist in structural design. He jointly manages the structural department within the Newcastle office and is responsible for maintaining and raising standards of structural engineering throughout the practice as a whole.
In addition to leading projects, Gordon focuses on educational sector marketing, graduate recruitment and is also responsible for the practice’s structural software. He specialises in the design of substructure and superstructure solutions utilising all building materials, including concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
Gordon began his engineering career with British Rail and worked on a wide range of civil engineering and tunnelling projects before moving into consultancy. He joined Cundall in 1987 and became a partner in 1998.
Gordon is a keen Newcastle United supporter and enjoys playing tennis and golf. He also tries to play the saxophone.
