Ged has recently moved to Qatar to manage Cundall's Doha office but will retain the role of Operations Director for the MENA region. Ged’s primary role will be to grow the Middle East business, with particular emphasis on tapping into Qatar’s major development plans over the next 10 years.
Trained as an electrical engineer, Ged has a broad-based knowledge of building services design, construction and facilities management. His experience in establishing and developing Cundall’s business in the Middle East provides invaluable insight into further developing Cundall’s capacity and capability in the MENA region.
Prior to moving to the Middle East, Ged was a founding member of Cundall’s healthcare sector team and worked extensively in healthcare PFI. Ged has a particular interest in information technology, vertical transportation, healthcare engineering and strategic planning. Ged’s broad-based background helps him to provide his clients with a holistic approach to design and technical challenges. He is also a strong believer that the client obtains the maximum benefit by employing Cundall early in the design process where we can best influence strategy.
Following a previous two-year spell with Cundall, Ged rejoined the practice in January 2000 and has played an increasingly significant role since that time. During his 40 years in engineering, Ged has been involved in the facilities management, petrochemical and building services sectors.
Previously a keen sportsman, Ged's leisurely interests now include: skiing, golf, reading fiction, music from the 'golden era' of the late 60’s and early 70’s, travelling and spending time with his family.
